The "Rabbits" is a weekly men's 9-hole competition for high handicappers (17 or over) who are members of Blainroe Golf club.
There is no time-sheet - just turn up after 5 and before 7 p.m., sign in, put your fee in an envelope and head for the tee. You will always find someone to play with. Try to play with different people each week - get to know other members - you've come to socialise! Every year we have at least one away competition (this year it was again to Glasson, near Athlone on 2nd and 3rd of July) and our traditional course swap with Wicklow GC Rabbits will take place on 8th August. We also have a competition where our top scoring Rabbits play Wicklow's top Rabbits home and away. Ian McKay.

I have written my address like this in an attempt to reduce the amount of spam - hundreds of e-mails trying to sell me Viagra and give me loans (I don't need either right now, but I will accept cash with no strings attached). I think some of the perpetrators have programs to automatically pick up e-mail addresses from web sites.
